We will be holding 529 Skyview Dr. in Uniontown open on Saturday, March 31st from 2-4PM and on Saturday, April 7th, 2-4PM.

Envision Awards

 

The annual Envision Awards recognize the finest new construction and remodeling projects throughout Portage, Summit, and surrounding counties.  This year, Helen Scott Custom Builders took home four awards in their categories.

Please join us this Saturday, 2/10, from 1:00-4:00 PM for our newest open house!

This beautiful ranch home features 2,437 square feet, a serene and private setting, a great floor plan and many custom features.

The Address is 3168 Vanderhoof Rd. in New Franklin, which sits on the corner of Cleveland-Massillon Rd. and Vanderhoof. To achieve this beautiful setting, the house sits a couple of hundred feet off the road and is not very visible. We do have a sign located at the driveway entrance off Vanderhoof. However, please note that it is NOT the beige house with a detached pole building with our sign out front (that is another custom home we've built).

Year in Review - 2017

Although 2017 was not without its challenges – labor shortages, increased cost of building materials, and lack of developed lots, to name a few – it still proved to be another great year for home-building! 

Although we sold our model home in early 2017, we were fortunate enough to finish 16 other custom homes throughout the year.  In the absence of having a model home to showcase our work to prospective customers, our clients generously allowed us to hold their homes open at the completion of construction.  This permitted us to invite new prospects to see first-hand examples of our work.  While the convenience of a single-site model home certainly had its advantages, this approach resulted in exceptional feedback from prospective customers.  It allowed potential clients to see a variety of floorplans, finishes, and more.  Due to the great response, we will be continuing to hold open houses in 2018 as we complete new custom homes.  In the meantime, if you didn’t have a chance to stop out to any of the properties we finished last year, feel free to click the photo below to browse the gallery for some snapshots of these beautiful homes!

2018 is already off to a great start!  The members of our team recently traveled to Orlando, Florida, to attend the International Builder Show.  The show features the newest industry trends and products, the latest industry reports, and offers a variety of educational sessions and networking events.  The IBS is something we look forward to year-after-year, and this year’s show did not disappoint!  It is evident that the construction industry is continuing to evolve at a fast pace, and we are fortunate that we were able to not only participate, but especially take away a wealth of knowledge from this year’s convention.  We look forward to using this information in the months ahead to not only better serve our clients, but also improve our business.

If the first few weeks of 2018 are any indication, then we are confident that it’s going to be another successful year for the industry!  We have some VERY exciting news on the horizon, so stay tuned to see what's coming next for HSCB!

Open House - Sat. 1/20 1-4PM

 

Recently returned from an exciting and insightful trip to the International Builders Show in Orlando, we're back to the grind and are wrapping up another beautiful custom home to share with you!

Located at 4373 Buckingham Circle in Uniontown, this sprawling 2,362 SF ranch has an additional 1,235 SF in the finished walk-out basement. You'll fall in love with the home's open floor plan with modern farmhouse details, the gorgeous built-in entertainment center, and the covered porch with an outdoor fireplace.

Join us this Saturday, January 20th, from 1-4 pm in the neighborhood of King's Ridge, where we have featured 2 Parade of Homes in the recent past. As this road is brand new, this address will not show up on GPS. For directions, you can use the address of 4399 Folkstone Circle, which is at the corner of Folkstone and Lancelot. Buckingham Circle is off of Lancelot. If you have any questions, just give us a call!

Double Open House - Sat. 1/6 & Sun. 1/7

Happy 2018!

With the new year, we have a newly finished custom home to share with you! Our new homeowners have graciously scheduled their new home to be open twice for this coming weekend. Join us on Saturday, 1/6, from 1-4 pm or Sunday, 1/7, from 12-2 pm located at 4571 Killarney Drive in Richfield. At approximately 5,800 square feet, this home has a stunning setting, a finished walk-out basement, beautiful custom details throughout and a full in-law suite. We hope to see you there.

OPEN HOUSE - This Thursday, 11/16

 

 

Our next open house will be held this Thursday, 11/16, from 4:30-7:30 pm.  The address is 6729 Legacy Lane in Wadsworth.  This home is a 2,485 square foot ranch on 2 acres.  It features an oversized 3 car garage and covered porch. 

Unfortunately, this will be our last open house of 2017.  Stay tuned just after the first of the year for details on our next one.  In the meantime, we hope to see you Thursday!

SEMINAR & OPEN HOUSE – Saturday, 10/21

Please join Scott Strayer, President of Helen Scott Custom Builders, at the Green Branch Library on Saturday, October 21st, from 9:30-11:00 a.m.  He, along with a few other presenters, will be speaking at a FREE seminar regarding new construction.  This will be a great opportunity to hear some of your local industry experts discuss the nuts and bolts that will help you navigate the home building process.

Also, feel free to join Scott after the seminar to view a recently completed custom home!  That’s right – our next OPEN HOUSE will also be taking place on Saturday, October 21st, from 1:00-4:00 pm.  This property is conveniently located just a short drive from the library at 471 Amberly Drive, Uniontown, OH  44685.  This 2,300 square foot ranch (pictured below) features an open floor plan with 3 bedrooms, a formal dining room, a partially finished basement, and 2 car garage. The owners incorporated many features in this home, including a barrier-free entry at front door, stepless entry into the shower, and oversized doorways, to maximize accessibility.  There are also many custom finishes throughout to help set this home apart!
